As an assistant in the course on forest types at our university, I spent several hours of my springtime in the Hallerbos, a Flemish forest often ranked in the top ten most beautiful forests of the world. As usual one of the highlights of the season, and after seeing the gallery, you might understand why…

  1. Very beautiful. All the European blogs I read are commenting on the Bluebells. I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains and flowers like that do not grow under the trees.

    • True, it looks like that everybody in Europe has spend at least a few hours in that forest this spring :D. But I haven’t seen anything like this anywhere else before either!
