What is this supposed to be a picture of? A railway crossing near the top of a mountain? I cannot find or see a caption for it. If it’s a railway crossing, I would like to see more photos and information on this particular line.
This is a signpost of a trail, designed in such a way that it would stick out above the snow in winter, allowing the trail to be followed using snowscooters as well.
