Submitting your first paper is a thrilling thing.
For several very long weeks, I stared every free moment at my mailbox like this:
But on new year’s eve, when I least expected it, I finally got the releasing e-mail with the word ‘Accepted’ in it. And then I looked more like this:
Of course there is still a lot of revising that needs to be done, but every little step is a victory. And as a scientist, your first ‘Accepted’ is a major break-through!
Congrats!
Thanks a lot!
Well done!
It’s your ‘well done’s that keep me going 😉
Proficiat, Jonas!
Dankjewel :). Fijn te weten dat je zo trouw meeleest!
Well done 🙂 I remember the first paper that I had accepted; it was in the days before email and I haunted the post room in a very ostrich-like manner for weeks, waiting for the letter with the reviews.
I guess that’s an inevitable part of the scientific work :D. But the thrill of getting the approval unexpectedly makes science even more addictive. I will have to use both ostrich-face a lot during the following years!
Congrats
Thanks a lot!
