Turkey does not play any role in my PhD at all, but my one week visit there (my first ever visit to Asia and as such an important milestone) taught me important lessons on the combination of tourism and natural wonders, with the cotton castle (Pamukkale) as test-case.
Besides that, I can only present some breath-taking views provided by the daily setting sun and ancient ruins.
